Il progetto si inserisce nella piazza T. G. Masaryka della ridente cittadina di Prerov , un progetto di riqualificazione architettonica ed urbana di un edificio preesistente. Un dialogo tra le forme e le visioni delle epoche che hanno attraversato e costruito la città ripensandone la Casa Comunale.
L’approccio progettuale ha tenuto conto delle caratteristi- che morfologiche e tipologiche presenti negli edifici intorno al luogo dell’intervento che compongono il centro storico di Přerov. il nucleo originale della città e in particolare il suo castello, La Piazza T. G. Masaryka e gli edifici adiacenti che presentano coperture a falde in varie forme e inclinazioni, dimensioni e facciate colorate con la loro diversità cromatica che restituisce una armonia complessiva. L’edificio oggetto di intervento si presenta ad oggi in contrasto con i caratteri tipologici riscontrati nell’intorno, per la sua altezza, notevolmente più alta delle altre costruzioni, per la sua massa, che incombe sulla piazza antistante, per le sue finiture fredde, in contrasto con la gioiosa diversità delle finestre e delle crome che caratterizzano la città.
In accordo con l’intenzione della committenza di trasformare l’oggetto in Municipio, la casa della città, il progetto si è sviluppato su due temi paralleli: il primo è l’armonizzazione, visiva e funzionale dell’edificio con l’ambiente circostante, attraverso un basamento permeabile caratterizzato da un leitmotiv di colonne colorate ispirato ai colori della città.
Il secondo tema è quello della smaterializzazione; come in un’opera di Christo, il volume ai piani superiori viene avvolto da un involucro etereo che conferisce un aspetto astratto al nuovo edificio. Questo permetterà una lettura contemporanea dell’edificio ma allo stesso tempo rispettosa del contesto.
The project is part of the T. G. Masaryka square in the charming town of Prerov, an architectural and urban redevelopment project of an existing building. A dialogue between the forms and visions of the eras that have crossed and built the city, rethinking the Municipal house.
The design approach took into account the morphological and typological characteristics in the buildings around the site of the intervention that give forms to the historic center of Přerov. the original nucleus of the city and in particular its castle, The T. G. Masaryka Square and the adjacent buildings that have pitched roofs in various shapes and inclinations, colored facades with their chromatic diversity that returns an overall harmony. The building object of the intervention today is in contrast with the typological characters found around it, due to its height, considerably higher than the other buildings, due to its mass, which looms over the square in front, due to its cold finishes, in contrast with the joyful diversity of the windows and chromes that characterize the city.
In accordance with the intention of the client to transform the object into the Town Hall, the home of the city, the project have been developed on two parallel themes:
The first is the visual and functional harmonization of the building with the surrounding environment, through a permeable base characterized by a leitmotif of colo- red columns inspired by the colors of the city.
The second theme is dematerialization; as in a work of the artist Christo, the volume on the upper floors is wrapped in an ethereal envelope that gives an abstract aspect to the new building. This will allow a contemporary reading of the building but at the same time respectful of the context.
